-----STARTING INFO-----

Arizona Call of Duty Community
Ranbats v2 are here! AZHP Gaming realizes how important Ranbats are to the community, especially after such an amazing turnout and the community growth of last year's season. We hope to see everyone out, competing and having a good time!

We hope by the end of this season, the community will be large enough and people will have enough connections to put teams of 3 and 4 together in preparation for individual 3v3 or 4v4 tournaments before the launch of the next CoD in November 2015.

The main difference between last year's season and this year's season, is that the new one is only 5 events instead of 7. This shortened season allows us to focus any future dates after the season on 3v3 or 4v4 tournaments, and prevents those who may not rank high in points after a few events from being discouraged from coming to the remainder of the events. We'd rather run several shorter ranbat seasons instead of longer ones.

If you'd like to see details of last year's 2014 AZ CoD Ghosts Ranbats, click HERE.

Discuss details of this event in the Arizona Call of Duty Community group on Facebook and please help spread the word on social media about the upcoming ranbats and the community itself!

-----NEW TO COMMUNITY? FREE AGENT?-----

If you are new to the AZ CoD Community or are a free agent and need help finding other locals who play competitively, you have the following options:

1. Join the Arizona Call of Duty Community group on Facebook and post that you're looking for others to roll with for practice/tryouts/fun

2. Tweet at us on Twitter @azhpgaming stating you're a free agent and looking for a teammate for our local events. Keep in mind we are not an RT service, so don't tag us unless it's relevant to finding a local teammate for one of our events. We'll help you find a local teammate as we have many followers within the community and will create occasional "free agent tweets" stating Twitter tags of everyone who is a free agent at that time. If you find a teammate, please let us know immediately so we can take you off the list.

----RANBAT RULES/INFO-----

Ranbat stands for "Ranking Battle" which is a series of tournaments that each give points to winners that counts towards an overall season. In each individual tournament, $5 of the 2 person $30 team entry fee will go to the overall season's pot and the remaining $25 will go to that particular tournament's pot. At the end of the tournament, the players of the top 8 teams will be awarded points based on the point distribution listed below and the top 3 teams will win the individual tournament pot. This will repeat for each tournament in the season while players accumulate more points. At the end of the season, the top 5 players with the most points will be the winners of the overall season, be ranked as the best in state, and win the season tournament pot and any additional prizes from our sponsors.

-----FEES-----

Venue/Organizational Fee*: $8 per player

CoD Tournament Entry Fee: $30 per team of 2 players

(Simplified: Each individual will pay a combined $23 per person)

People often ask if they can get a discount for bringing a setup. On occasion we will offer a waived a venue fee if you are able to bring a console and it's power brick. We will never have a need for any extra monitors, HDMI cables, controllers etc.

If we do have the need for more consoles due to potential expected large turnout, we'll typically ask the regulars that we're familiar with.
If you are a regular member of the community and you're interested in getting a waived venue fee for bringing a console, contact us via your preferred social media and we'll let you know if we have the need.

*A venue/organizational fee goes towards the venue to help pay for things like AC and toilet paper and to AZHP Gaming to help make purchases to improve our services for the community.

-----RANBAT BONUSES-----

The team that finishes 1st for each event will receive an Evil Controllers drawstring bag, keychain, and either a hat or a beanie

-----TOURNAMENT RULES-----

Console: XBoxOne

Format: 2v2 Double Elimination (Must lose twice to be eliminated), 2/3 Games with respawn game types (S&D/CTF/HP/UPLINK)

Controllers: You may either use one of AZHP's custom controllers with pro buttons (A & B) via Evil Controllers or you may bring your own. Control paddle mods and/or buttons and trigger stop mods are legal. Rapid fire mods are not legal. Adapters for using another system's controller must be cleared in advance of the event by AZHP Gaming.

Headsets: We will have a limited number of headphones available for use that allow you to hear the game sound via the 3.5mm microphone jack on the back of the monitors. These headsets do not allow communication via any microphone. You're more than welcome to bring your own headsets, but keep in mind it is your own responsibility to make sure you are aware of how the headset system works on LAN/System Link and to have any needed equipment for a daisy chain.

Profiles: For the convenience of the live stream, the commentators, and to give you credit for your performance, we want you to be able to use your alias/gamername at our events. We ask you to either download your existing profile on our systems at the event (please use passkey/password etc), or create a new Microsoft account with your alias/gamername that you can use. Do not use someone else's account or name while playing as that isn't fair to that individual.

CoD eSports is Enabled so we have access to cast/stream.
We recommend you do research on what CoD eSports enables/disables before attending.

What details are allowed on a class selection basis will be based on what the community wants from a UMG/MLG standard/variant standpoint.
This can often change depending on game updates and what rules are being run at upcoming major events.
