If you are new to the AZ CoD Community or are a free agent and need help finding other locals who play competitively, you have the following options:

1. Join the Arizona Call of Duty Community group on Facebook and post that you're looking for others to roll with for practice/tryouts/fun

2. Tweet at @azcodcommunity stating you're a free agent and looking for a teammate for our local events.
Keep in mind @azcodcommunity is not an RT service, so don't tag us unless it's relevant to finding a local teammate for one of our events. We'll help you find a local teammate as we have many followers within the community and will create occasional "free agent tweets" stating Twitter tags of everyone who is a free agent at that time.
The @azhpgaming twitter account will occasionally RT these F/A lists but AZHP Gaming is not ONLY CoD and we don't want to annoy our non-CoD followers with tons of CoD tweets. If you find a teammate, please let us know immediately so we can take you off the list.

Any powdered drink is not allowed unless you're buying the water for it on venue.
You are allowed to bring in food, but it can't be snack food such as chips/sweets/etc
Buy drinks and snacks on site and support the venue that allows us to hold the event.
We have enough to worry about from a tournament organization perspective, so please don't make us babysit what you are eating/drinking for the venue's sake.

11:00am - Location Opens and Casuals Start
12:00am - Tournament Starts
1:30am - Tournament Ends
2:00am - Location Closes

*We will be strict on start time as we MUST BE DONE by 2am. If you are late for signup, you will not be able to participate.

*Tournament may end sooner depending on how many teams are playing.
In a worst case scenario where the tournament lasts longer than expected, we'd host the final matches the next day. We are capping the tournament at 8 teams to do the most we can to ensure we end on time, but keep this in mind.

-----LIVE STREAM-----

Team cost: $90 if pre-register ($30 per person per game)
Team cost: $105 at door ($35 per person per game)

Anyone who brings a console and disc copy of the game can receive a $5 refund at the end of the event. Must be cleared in advance. Contact us for more info.

Breakdown of fees for transparency reasons:
Venue/TO fee: $36 ($12 per person per game)
Payout pot: $54 ($18 per person per game)

Venue/TO fee is where it is because we need to support the venue that allows us to host, and because we at AZHP Gaming need better and more equipment (particularly consoles) in order to improve our services for a growing AZ CoD Community. The cost is also higher than traditional competitive console games, as the tournaments take 4x as long, and require more setup and breakdown.

We don't like doing pre-registration but it is being done because we are capping the tournament at 8 teams of three per tournament.

Pre-Registration bonuses include: Reserving your spot in the tournament, saving $15 ($5 per person), and being able to submit any team logos or graphics we can utilize during the live stream.

To pre-register your team, PayPal $90 to azhpgaming[at]
Please put which game you're paying for, your team name, player names, and contact information for a team captain/representative in the comments.

Do not send partial payments or payments for individual players. We will only accept the full amount for each team. If you are unable to pre-register via PayPal, you may contact us about how to pre-register in another fashion.

1st place team - 70% of payout pot ($302 of pot if 8 team cap is reached)
2nd place team - 20% of payout pot ($86 of pot if 8 team cap is reached)
3rd place team - 10% of payout pot ($43 of pot if 8 team cap is reached)

If we reach the 8 team cap, the payout pot will be a total of $432 per game.

-----EVENT RULES-----

We are not babysitters. Please come correct, or don't come at all. Remember you represent yourself, your team, your state, and the community at large.

We have a zero tolerance policy for racist/sexist/homophobic hate speech and/or physical altercations. If we have to kick you out, you will not get a refund and risk being banned from community events for life.

-----GAME RULES-----

Console: PS4

Format: 3v3 Double Elimination (Must lose twice to be eliminated), 2/3 Games, Grand Finals is 3/5 Games.
Specific game types and which particular rule set will be determined by the community over the weeks leading up to the event, but will be based upon the current competitive standard for professional and amateur players.

Monitors: We use the ASUS VH236H aka the "Evo monitor". It is currently rated tied for the 2nd lowest latency LCD ever produced to mass market. For more information on low latency displays check and their tested monitor database.

Controllers: You are encouraged to bring your own controller. We will have a small number of stock 1st party Sony DualShock 4 controllers available for loan. Control paddle mods and/or buttons and trigger stop mods are legal. Rapid fire mods are not legal. Adapters for using another system's controller must be cleared in advance of the event by AZHP Gaming. If using a converter/adapter, it must be cleared in advance. Brook Accessory adapters are legal. The Chronus MAX line of adapters are banned due to TOs reported damaged USB ports, and programmable macro abilities.

Headsets: Headsets are your responsibility.

You must provide your own way of getting audio from the game and any communication with teammate(s). The monitors we use have a standard 3 pole headphone jack (3.5mm) output on the back of the monitor that allows you to hear the game volume with any standard headphones. This headphone jack does not work with a microphone and is only an audio passthrough via HDMI. If you want to be able to communicate with your teammate, you must bring your own mixamp/headset combo. Alternatively, we also have tournament mixers on site you can use. Read below for more info.

We will have two Earforce TM1 Tournament Mixers on site to use if needed.
They are compatible with multiple types of headsets including any Turtle Beach headset with the 9-pin DIMM connector, and any headset that uses a standard 3 pole mic (pink) and standard 3 pole stereo headphones (green). The USB ports on the front of the TM1 are a direct passthru signal to the console. You can't utilize the knobs and audio adjustments on the TM1 if you are using the passthru USB. If you have a headset with 4 poles and you'd like to utilize the TM1, you can use one of our "Y Adapter" or "PC Adapter" cables. These cables are also available from a headset manufacturer such as Astro or Turtle Beach. Make sure if you do purchase a Y Adapter/PC Adapter you are getting one with the correct Male or Female ends. See example photo here for examples of 3 pole and 4 pole 3.5mm connectors.
If you'd like to download the users manual of the TM1 to read more on how it works, click HERE and it will download from the Turtle Beach website.

It is your own responsibility to make sure you are aware of how the headset system works on LAN/System Link and to have any needed equipment for a daisy chain if you are not using our TM1 mixers.

Profiles: For the convenience of the live stream, the commentators, and to give you credit for your performance, we want you to be able to use your alias/gamername at our events. We ask you to either download your existing profile on our systems at the event (please use passkey/password etc), or create a new Microsoft account with your alias/gamername that you can use. Do not use someone else's account or name while playing as that isn't fair to that individual. The use of an incorrect account or someone else's account during a match may result in the round being forfeited.
If you have been preapproved to bring a console with a digital copy, make sure you use a new Microsoft account with your alias/gamertag to prevent players being kicked from the game during matches when you sign in elsewhere.

Rules: Will be determined by the community as a whole in the weeks leading up to the event. Will be (as usual) the current competitive standard. Check our Twitter for info.
This section will be updated when rules are finalized.
