Arizona Call of Duty Community
Ranbats v3 are here! AZHP Gaming realizes how important Ranbats are to the community, especially after such an amazing turnout and the community growth of seasons from the last 2 years. We hope to see everyone out, competing and having a good time!

We hope by the end of this season, the community will be large enough and people will have enough connections to put teams of 3 and 4 together in preparation for individual 3v3 or 4v4 tournaments before the launch of the next CoD in November 2016.

If you are new to the AZ CoD Community or are a free agent and need help finding other locals who play competitively, you have the following options:

1. Join the Arizona Call of Duty Community group on Facebook and post that you're looking for others to roll with for practice/tryouts/fun

2. Tweet at @azcodcommunity stating you're a free agent and looking for a teammate for our local events. Keep in mind @azcodcommunity is not an RT service, so don't tag us unless it's relevant to finding a local teammate for one of our events. We'll help you find a local teammate as we have many followers within the community and will create occasional "free agent tweets" stating Twitter tags of everyone who is a free agent at that time. The @azhpgaming twitter account will occasionally RT these F/A lists but AZHP Gaming is not ONLY CoD and we don't want to annoy our non-CoD followers with tons of CoD tweets. If you find a teammate, please let us know immediately so we can take you off the list.

-----LIVE STREAM-----

At this time (4/25/2016), all live streamed matches from Ranbats v3.1 and v3.2 are currently uploaded to our YouTube channel individually. Check our "Shooter Game Tournaments" playlist or video upload history to view them.

Ranbat stands for "Ranking Battle" which is a series of tournaments that each give points to players and teams that count towards an overall season. In each individual tournament, $4 of the 2 person $26 team entry fee will go to the overall season's pot and the remaining $22 will go to that particular tournament's pot. At the end of the tournament, the players of the top 8 teams will be awarded points based on the point distribution listed below and the top 3 teams will win the individual tournament pot. This will repeat for each tournament in the season while players accumulate more points. At the end of the season, the top 5 players with the most points will be the winners of the overall season, and win the season tournament pot and any additional prizes from our sponsors.

Registration Fee*: $12 per player
Tournament Entry Fee: $13 per player
(Simplified: Each individual will pay a combined $25 per person)

There is no pre-registration. Simply show up to the venue and we'll take care of entry fees when we take signups for the bracket.

People often ask if they can get a discount for bringing a setup. On occasion we will offer a waived a venue fee if you are able to bring a console and it's power brick. We will never have a need for any extra monitors, HDMI cables, controllers etc.
If we do have the need for more consoles due to potential expected large turnout, we'll typically ask the regulars that we're familiar with.
If you are a regular member of the community and you're interested in getting a waived venue fee for bringing a console, contact us via your preferred social media and we'll let you know if we have the need. It is extremely unlikely we'll need any extra consoles this year.

*The registration fee goes towards the venue to help pay for things like AC and toilet paper and to AZHP Gaming to help us make purchases to improve our services for the community.

The team that finishes 1st for each event may receive bonus gifts or prizes from our sponsors.
The individual that finishes 1st in season points for the entire season may receive bonus gifts or prizes from our sponsors.
These will be determined and edited here before the first event.

1st place team - 60% of individual pot
2nd place team - 30% of individual pot
3rd place team - 10% of individual pot

1st place individual - 45% of season pot
2nd place individual - 25% of season pot
3rd place individual - 15% of season pot
4th place individual - 10% of season pot
5th place individual - 5% of season pot

1st place - 7 points
2nd place - 5 points
3rd place - 4 points
4th place - 3 points
5th place (Tie) - 2 points
7th place (Tie) - 1 point

In cases where a team used a substitute, the points that would normally go to one player will be split between both players. This is the only way 1/2 points can be earned.

Console: XBox One

Format: 2v2 Double Elimination (Must lose twice to be eliminated), 2/3 Games. Game types and which particular rule set will be determined by the community majority via a Google poll we'll open up on 03-23-2016.

Controllers: You may either use one of AZHP's custom controllers with pro buttons (A & B) via Evil Controllers or you may bring your own. Control paddle mods and/or buttons and trigger stop mods are legal. Rapid fire mods are not legal. Adapters for using another system's controller must be cleared in advance of the event by AZHP Gaming. If using a PS4 to XB1 adapter, we recommend the Brook Accessory adapter.

Headsets: Headsets are your responsibility.

You must provide your own way of getting audio from the game and any communication with teammate(s). The monitors we use have a standard headphone jack (3.5mm) output on the back of the monitor that allows you to hear the game volume with any standard headphones. This headphone jack does not work with a microphone and is only an audio passthrough. If you want to be able to communicate with your teammate, you must bring your own mixamp/headset combo.

We will have two Earforce TM1 Tournament Mixers on site to use if needed.
They are compatible with multiple types of headsets including any Turtle Beach headset with the 9-pin DIMM connector, and any headset that uses a standard 3 pole mic (pink) and standard 3 pole stereo headphones (green). The USB ports on the front of the TM1 are a direct passthru signal to the console. You can't utilize the knobs and audio adjustments on the TM1 if you are using the passthru USB. If you have a headset with 4 poles and you'd like to utilize the TM1, you must get what is known as a "Y Adapter" or "PC Adapter" from a headset manufacturer such as Astro or Turtle Beach. Make sure if you do purchase a Y Adapter/PC Adapter you are getting one with the correct Male or Female ends. See example photo here for examples of 3 pole and 4 pole 3.5mm connectors.
If you'd like to download the users manual of the TM1 to read more on how it works, click HERE and it will download from the Turtle Beach website.

It is your own responsibility to make sure you are aware of how the headset system works on LAN/System Link and to have any needed equipment for a daisy chain.

Profiles: For the convenience of the live stream, the commentators, and to give you credit for your performance, we want you to be able to use your alias/gamername at our events. We ask you to either download your existing profile on our systems at the event (please use passkey/password etc), or create a new Microsoft account with your alias/gamername that you can use. Do not use someone else's account or name while playing as that isn't fair to that individual. The use of an incorrect account or someone else's account during a match may result in the round being forfeited.
If you have been preapproved to bring a console with a digital copy, make sure you use a new Microsoft account with your alias/gamertag to prevent players being kicked from the game during matches when you sign in elsewhere.

Rules: We're utilizing a modified UMGO Variant ruleset for 2v2s
